DEPRECATION NOTICE

The LambdaTest was a small Scala library, written in a functional style, to write test suites for Scala code. It was developed between Nov 2016 and May 2018. 47 Degrees has discontinued the development and maintenance of this library. The source code is left here for those interested in studying it.

Introduction

LambdaTest is a testing library for Scala code.

LambdaTest has the following features.

Written entirely in Scala.
Fully functional using immutable testing state.
Simple with relatively little code (less than 1K lines of Scala).
Easy to customize and extend.
Can include ScalaCheck properties as tests.
Tests can be run either via SBT or directly.

Setup CI to publish snapshots

Problem publishing to Sonatype

Add comparison chart or text

In order to show the advantages of using LambdaTest over other lib frameworks such as Scalatest or Specs2 we should include some kind of text or matrix that outlines the pros and cons and the intended use cases.

Include tut docs to enable Microsites integration

We should include all docs with tut so we can use Microsites (https://github.com/47deg/microsites) to generate a nice site documentation for LambdaTest like we are doing with all other OS stuff. Ex. http://47deg.github.io/fetch/

Publish version for Scala 2.12

Add more use cases to README.md

README.md should include real usage examples that display common scenarios of LambdaTest and perhaps comparison with other testing frameworks to show the benefits of using LambdaTest.

Add new Logo and color scheme for sbt-microsites

John's library needs design for a logo etc. so he can publish a microsite for it.

He doesn't have a specific idea in mind for the logo - so feel free to be creative.

Improve README links

Some of the contents of the README talks about linkable resources such as the Example.scala file but does not provide proper links to make navigation easier.
