The Hunspell ignores ZWJ and ZWNJ in the case of Malayalam. We have to use
ZWJand ZWNJto form certain character .

From version 3 Openoffice will use extensions (.oxt) which include the

The build script for the OpenOffice distribution only includes the dấu mới dictionary but not the dấu cũ dictionary. The Firefox/Thunderbird distribution includes both.

Currently there isn't the word "huế" (as in "thành phố huế") in the dictionary (old and new ways). I think it should be added.

Trần Vĩnh Tân (vinhtantran) has suggested that we include the Hundred
Family Surnames (Bách gia tính) [1] in the word list. This list would allow
the spell checker to recognize common Vietnamese family names.

Before adding the names in, however we need to make sure that none of them
conflict with common spelling mistakes. Also, if any of the names is
exceedingly rare, it would be best to leave it out of the word list, which
is intended for general use.

According to https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/vietnamese-spellchecker-dictionary/1.0.110, there should be an OXT file in the ZIP to be imported with Extension Manager in LibreOffice Writer. But it's not. So how to add the checker?

Per a suggestion by Trần Vĩnh Tân (vinhtantran), I added some technology
words like "Internet" to the wordlists in r17 . We should come up with a
more comprehensive list of modern technology words that are not usually
translated into proper Vietnamese. We should be careful not to introduce
too much jargon.

The English spell checking dictionaries for Firefox include the names of
large cities, such as Boston. We should include names of large cities in
the Vietnamese dictionaries, too. There's no need to add cities for which
there is a common Vietnamese translation (such as "Luân Đôn" for London),
but many large cities don't have common translations (San Francisco,
Sydney, Tokyo, etc.).

This would be a low-risk addition, because the city names generally aren't
even close to Vietnamese words.

I'd like to have the new changes on LibreOffice

The dictionaries do have a README outlining their licensing, but it would probably be useful to have a top-level LICENSE.md

Not good suggestion with "qúa", "liếu" (dính líu), "đở" (should be "đỡ")

The suggestions aren't always very good. I'm not an expert on Hunspell, but
there must be a way to favor certain replacements (such as ở → ỡ) over
others. Iván?

Currently if you take a look to the aff hunspell rules. it contains this:

REP o ở REP O Ở REP o ỡ REP O Ỡ REP o ớ REP O Ớ etc

That means that whenever it finds a simple "o" or "O" it will try to
replace the "o"/"O" with an diacritic o/O in order to find a word in the
dictionary file.

If we want the ở → ỡ replacement, we need to add that into the rule file.
I'm not sure how much will affect the performance if we had all the
diacritics replacing all the diacritics(of course of the same vowel).

Examples of words in which the user entered the correct accent marks, but
at least one of them appears over the wrong vowel:

1. nứơc (expected: nước; suggested: nức)
2. tóan (expected: toán; suggested: tan, than, toan, tó an)
3. tâỷ (expected: tẩy; suggested: tâm, tân, tây, tâu, trâm) -- this is hard
