Having a fixed traversal order of child properties would also mean that child properties are displayed in an appropriate order, instead of alphabetically by name.
For instance, the natural order of properties of BlockExpression
would be Variables
, then Expressions
, then Result
; but currently it is displayed in alphabetical order.

This is resolved with 7ab6767 .
- The constructor for ExpressionNodeData takes a
(int start, int length) parentSpan
argument - The span for the current node must lie within the
parentSpan
- There is a fixed order of traversal within
VisualizerData
- A span that was previously used is removed from the list of spans for the object corresponding to the current node

This logic works for the visualizer, but it should really be a part of the formatter itself.
