What is line 6? Can you check if you downloaded the actual perl file or HTML ?

Turned out that you were correct, cloned your repo and now im not getting that issue but im getting a new one now

failed to listen: Address family not supported by protocol

This is what i get when i tail the syslog

where does that error show up? (Failed to listen). I don't see it in your syslog

What happens if you run it from command line?

Line 1148 initiates an SSL connection.

I don't think you have installed all the packages (especially SSL) - did you follow all the instructions for dependency packages? Including SSL ? Please re-read https://github.com/pliablepixels/zmeventserver and make sure you have all the packages, and there are no errors, and that you have followed it line by line.
