• clean up my module and make it more portable (don't use the shr_kind_mod, use iso_fortran_env)
  • this way it will be easier to include in other programs (CACHE)
• create Conda env-dev
• consider reorg such that all of the original CLM-ml stuff is in a sub-folder
  • also could consider using CMake or Meson to support the layout of the sources in easier way (and potentially have a simpler build description than the current verbose Makefile)
  • My multi-band solar stuff can have its own subdir of canopy: multiband

Need to do this to make sure that I don't mess things up without noticing. Bonan provided the outputs for UMBS 2006-07 that I can check against (currently not in the repo, but can add).
