I've created a PR #11210 that overcomes this situation, even though I still don't understand why it happenend in the first place.

It seems like this line caused it

I put that First on purpose because if a transaction was there before trying to cancel it, then it should still be there, no matter what the update is.
Am I wrong?
I mean, if this lines fails, it means that there's a bug somewhere.
