XBMC add-on UI about trackma HOT 3 OPEN

Hi, I don't use XBMC but as far as I know it's a media center with an integrated player; could you please elaborate on what you want to do? Do you want it to recognize what XBMC is playing?

What I initially meant was porting the UI to XBMC add-on so it would run nicely in HTPC environment without desktop environment, with ability to browse the lists, view anime info and set scores etc. AniDB plugin works well enough for scraping the episode data, but it doesn't update the watching status.

Do you want it to recognize what XBMC is playing?

Recognizing already seems to work by adding xbmc.bin to tracked players, but two-way syncing of the lists with XBMC media library would be ideal. With Taiga there were problems when XBMC accessed lots of files when scanning the media library, but wmal seems to avoid this. With native add-on the now playing could be fetched directly without having to guess from opened files.

Oh I see. I've never worked with XBMC but I guess this should be done by either using a server/client architecture or loading the wmal engine inside the plugin, which I'm not sure is a good idea. Surely I'll look into it, thanks.
