I've added a WithWrapperRenderer option.
Now you can change wrapper element rendering like the following.
Note that language may be a null.

markdown := goldmark.New(
    goldmark.WithExtensions(
        NewHighlighting(
            WithWrapperRenderer(func(w util.BufWriter, language []byte, attrs parser.Attributes, entering bool) {
                if entering {
                    if language == nil {
                        w.WriteString("<pre><code>")
                        return
                    }
                    w.WriteString(`<div class="highlight"><pre class="chroma"><code class="language-`)
                    w.Write(language)
                    w.WriteString(` hljs" data-lang="`)
                    w.Write(language)
                    w.WriteString(`">`)
                } else {
                    if language == nil {
                        w.WriteString("</pre></code>")
                        return
                    }
                    w.WriteString(`</code></pre></div>`)
                }
            }),
        ),
    ),
)

Thanks for the quick fix. This now works fine for me, but I wonder if it would be possible to add a bool to the WithWrapperRenderer callback to indicate if it was rendered by Chroma or not? I'm not sure it makes sense to add the "

" if that's not the case (even if we do it today).
