Its not possible to know which file type is if not provided on the name.
There is an other way to use the response Buffer on the sendDocument (and others) methods

I have a fix/workaround, but its not very elegant. I'll clean it up a bit and submit a pull request soon.

I believe this bug does not exist anymore. I have tested with the latest version of the codebase and I can not seem to reproduce this bug.
Feel free to re-open this issue if you believe the bug still exists.
