Thanks for the feedback and support and sorry for not replying here for so long. As you can see from the commit I just pushed I've indeed discontinued this project, now including the documentation I should have provided (to you and others) long ago.

If you're interested in my reasons then you can now find those in the readme. I've decided to keep this repository online for now because I still love Lua the language and am hoping to pick up Lua development again. I won't make any promises about that though, so for now you should consider this project discontinued.

Would be good to point up pointers for where to download windows binaries instead; but I'm not completely sure where that should be...
