I'm unable to reproduce this.
Your code should have a callback in the addDictionary method. Are you using the dictionaries from libreoffice?

Thanks for looking into it!
- Yes, I'm using libreoffice dictionaries. These to be precise.
- calling
spellSuggestin theaddDictionarycallback behaves exactly the same as described above. Dictionary loads without any issues (err === null). - I can reproduce it on OS X and on Linux (Travis CI): https://travis-ci.org/GoogleChrome/devtools-docs/builds/50138042#L301
