What do you mean by strategies?
In what pattern the pixels are being placed?
If yes, then there is an option for "customEdgesMap". You would just create another gray scale image (same size as inout image), the bot would start from brightest colour and end with darkest colour. Ex. If you were to draw gradient from left to right, it would place pixels from left to right, following the gradient.

I received an email with question on how to use the customEdgesMap. For now, tutorial:

Imagine you are drawing a mario:
mario

And you want to draw it in some special way.
You could draw a gradient on top of the image and provide it as last parameter "customEdgesMap". This would act as a guide for the script on how to draw the image.

Some examples:
mario-edges-left-right
With this, image would be drawn from bottom-left to top right in a diagonal.

mario-edges-circle
With this the image would be drawn from edges to center in a circle.

mario-edges
With this (Hand drawn in paint), hat would be drawn first, then the facial hair and eyes, then the clothes, then background and in the end the face pixels would be drawn.
