It should be compatible according to the compatibility set in
addons.mozilla.org, but this issue has been reported a few times now, so I
think that I will have to reupload the latest version with the right
compatibility in the source.

Maybe. But in addons.mozilla.org it is possible to say another maxVersion which
has priority according to Mozilla:
"Adjusting application information here will allow users to install your add-on
even if the install manifest in the package indicates that the add-on is
incompatible."
So, in theory, it shouldn't matter.
