Can you explain it better? I haven't understood the example/s. Please add 
punctuation
and line breaks to separate the explanation/s from the example/s and make 
it/them
readable.

Perhaps he means the standard regex if then else functionality? See 
http://www.regular-expressions.info/conditional.html

Makes sense then. But assuming that is what ccciabarra meant, then it isn't 
supported by JavaScript RegExp nor by XRegExp, and can't be mimicked in 
JavaScript according to the author of XRegExp: 
http://blog.stevenlevithan.com/archives/mimic-conditionals

So I'm closing this.
