FWIW, moving the file correctly makes sure (at least in my case) that there is
no
iexplore.exe in the "Internet Explorer" directory (this is with current GIT
(May 25th
2009)).

If you uncomment the winver win2k line some lines below things start to work
again.
I'm not sure what the issue there is. The appdb install guide says to remove the
file, but also to set the winver to win2k. As this also makes IE6 look much less
screwed up, I think that's a good thing anyway.
