facet strips with GTS colors about deeptime HOT 7 CLOSED

@teunbrand is there a built-in way to use facet_grid2 or strip_themed to assign colors to strips based on their content? As far as I can tell, you can only specify orders, right? Any suggestions for where to start to make something that works like this?

Yeah the strips are pretty much content agnostic. Are you looking for some sort of style dictionary that based on a keyword finds a style or more like a scale that you can 'map' values to strip background fills?

I think the latter? I want every strip that has the exact text "Mesozoic" to have the fill color "purple", for example.

@teunbrand any thoughts? Or should I just go ahead and make my own facet_wrap/facet_grid subclasses?

I'd be happy to consider label-aware styling over at ggh4x, but I don't know how fast I will get around to it.

I took a stab at this with 3223f37 @teunbrand. I made it flexible enough to handle all sorts of kinds of color specifications, but let me know if you have any suggestions.
