I can see where you are coming from and will take a look at how that module looks. As far as the location of the image if it is linked from Rant Central that is certainly an error on my part. Although my forum has never been down in two years I still had no intention of hosting pics for the plugin.

As to your suggested layout, I must admit that I like it. The thread link at the top was kind of pointless and so I will try to work with that pattern.

Removed the readmore link image totally, redesigned the side box like the picture you made and also added some settings for max/min length.

The avatar is still not aligned. Don't know if you received my code, but to align it to text you need to use vertical-align: middle; in the image style instead of float/position/top. Also is it just me or the avatar is smaller than it was?

The fade option looks kinda weird ( https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6pgReiHWGdSbVh2dzliX193SFU/edit ), don't know if it's suppposed to be like that but since it can be disabled I don't mind.
Edit: Also it doesn't check for max limit if enabled.

Also noticed another problem - the filtering doesn't seem to work at all (posts with less than 20 characters are shown and posts with BBcode only as empty).

Well, it's not my cup of tea. But maybe others will like it more. The concept is interesting, however I think the ending font is too small and the lowering progress starts too late (in the middle?).

Or if you have Git installed then you can fork the repo, make changes and then propose a pull request.
