I've looked into porting the extension to Google Chrome (and other Chromium-based browsers). A core thing that will make this difficult at the moment is that Chrome doesn't currently allow extensions to dynamically inject content scripts onto pages. It needs to be a static file/code or there's an unfriendly workaround.
Fortunately, the Chrome Developer website says that support for that feature is currently in development, which is a good sign. Unfortunately, I have no idea when that feature will be supported and it's something that the extension absolutely requires to work.
Other than that, it looks like many of the inconveniences of porting extensions onto Google Chrome are being addressed by their new Manifest V3.

Glad to hear that you like it!
I've been considering porting some of my extensions into Google Chrome at some point in the future. Although, there are some differences in the way that Google Chrome handles scrollbars that may require the extension to be completely redesigned.
Nevertheless, it's something that I will look into.

Honestly, this add-on has more users than I would have imagined, so I think I'm going to do some research on the best way to port it to Google Chrome and MS Edge. If there are users on Firefox that want/need this add-on, then surely there are users on other browsers that need it just as much.

I created a separate issue to port the extension to MS Edge because I believe there are some minor differences between MS Edge and Chrome as far as extensions are concerned. Currently, I see no reason why the extension can't be ported to both platforms.

The add-on has been uploaded to the Chrome Web Store and is being reviewed for approval.

The add-on has undergone the review process and I'm happy to announce that it's now available on the Chrome Web Store (Download here)! This is the first Chromium-based browser that the add-on is now available for.

@WesleyBranton Yes PLEASE!
Every since I moved from firefox to Edge, this is the only extension I have not found a replacement for. Truly one of a kind.

Best alternative that I've found so far is this. But I'd love still to see Chrome version of this.
