could not test it as the script usually fails after a while:

I have added a new page to the wiki to help you to import it even if last.fm 
server fails to provide you the playcount in one row.

I'll work on a new way to import data through the last.fm api soon

thanks. i knew about that option but it doesn't help very much for ~52k 
scrobbles. :)
i'll be waiting patiently...

Indeed, even for me (~22k scrobbles) it is today quite a pain in the ass, I'll 
find a solution...

the problem with the "pages" is that you can't just resume the extraction from 
page X at a point in the future if you scrobbled in the meantime. the contents 
of "page X" quickly become "page X+n" after some time.

one would have to start at the "last" page (the oldest scrobbles) in order to 
be able to update the local data and keep up with the incoming scrobbles.
