Remove webmin Version and Server Name from Login Screen about authentic-theme HOT 13 CLOSED

It's already there. In case you don't want your real host name being displayed, disable it by going to:

Webmin->Webmin Configuration->Authentication and session options,

then find:

Authentication options->Show real hostname instead of name from URL?

Yes I know but behind a reverse proxy it shows the server hostname and not the proxy host name.
And is has no influence at the webmin version, which ervery user can see.
I can comment it out but thats not a real solution.
What do you think is it more a fearture request for the virtualmin guys?

While going to Webmin is your URL and your hostname _are the same_?

For example, your host name is host.example.org. When you type the address in URL is it something like host.example.org:10000?

Hi when the server url is server.examle.org:xxxxx and the proxy vhost url is proxy.example.org it shows server.examle.org.Its the real Hostname. Thats correct, but not the proxy vhost .
As a answer for your question. They aren't same proxy.example.org as login url -> reverse proxy to server.examle.org:10000 (webmin)

Then you should accept the fact that Perl itself returning wrong value for $ENV{'HTTP_HOST'} and $ENV{'SERVER_NAME'}. Please make sure to link this thread on Virtualmin forum.
