what was the use for setup() running just once? I typically just place that stuff above the exports all together. I think that is why I got confused I thought you wanted it to some how work w/ parallel async stuff as well

from expresso.

We do some setup that takes place just once but is asynchronous, so its handy to be able to use setup with a callback that must be fired before going forward with other tests.

from expresso.

you can just write :

my_async_func(function() {
  exports.mytest = function(done) {
    assert.ok()
    done()
  }
})

from expresso.
