To get the script to run execute the following commands:
brew install coreutils
alias timeout=gtimeout
And you should be good to go.

I do like the gtimeout approach - not as a prerequisite, but I could easily change PR #17 to use that instead where it is available.

If you are looking for an approach that does not depend on third party tools (curl, wget) and has cross platform support. Please take a look on this other tool https://github.com/maxcnunes/waitforit.
