I created a repo with my own common gulp files. There’s some stuff to make creating and extending tasks easier, as well as grouping tasks together with each their own custom set up for say browserify. https://github.com/BurntCaramel/guilty-gulp

It’s not perfect but might be interesting to share some ideas here for making writing gulpfiles easier. Before I saw your blog post I had everything in the one gulpfile and it was hell!

So I’m guessing for people to use yours or mine, they fork possibly, which I’m not sure has any benefits with updates to this original repo, or they just download and repurpose the files to their needs? Is there a way to make it more reusable? I know the gulp guys are very strict and like to blacklist plugin modules which is a convenient way to share, but these aren’t plugins, more just templates to build on.

This is just meant to be an example setup, showing a collection of some of the most common use cases. If you want to see what changes over time, start watching the repo

Everyone's app structures are going to be completely different - so what you said here is how it's best used:

people... just download and repurpose the files to their needs

Glad you've found it helpful!
