Building fails on macos/x64 with 'mktemp: illegal option -- p' about vectorscan HOT 4 CLOSED

Since this was solved with FAT_RUNTIME=off on MacOS X/Intel, I am closing this issue. In the near future I will create a wiki page with useful information like this, as you note, it's not documented anywhere, but it will have to wait a bit.

hi, macos/x86 is an unsupported configuration at the moment, however I see that you have enabled fat binary, which I am not even sure it works on macos in the first place. Could you try running cmake with FAT_RUNTIME=off?

I hadn't realised that macos/x86 is unsupported (out of interest, is that documented anywhere?) and am happy to close this issue if that's the case.

For the record, running cmake with FAT_RUNTIME=off worked.

Simply changing cmake/build_wrapper.sh by replacing mktemp -p /tmp ... with mktemp /tmp/... solves this particular issue. However, other issues then arise, at least for me, such as the hardcoded search for libc.so.6-- which I could not so easily resolve, so using FAT_RUNTIME=off was still necessary
