The files included in the .gitignore are for development purposes only. Files like main.swift can't be included in the repo, or they will make the module compile as an executable instead of a library which will make it incompatible with the Swift Package Manager.

You can copy the main.swift file from the Example repo. That should be the only file you need to make the Xcode project compile. All others are optional.

The simplest main.swift file would look something like

Route.get("/") { request in
    return "Hello"
}

let server = Server()
server.run(port: 8080)

As for adding tests, all tests should go here /Tests/*.swift. Standard XCTest conventions should be followed.
