localStorage versus sessionStorage about jstree HOT 3 CLOSED

The whole idea of the state plugin is to enable showing the same tree across sessions (which sessionStorage cannot accomplish I believe). Apart from that - I believe no data is stored in the localStorage except for node ID ... and also - I believe that security-wise they are both the same (domain controlled policy). Correct me if I am wrong - I have not used localStorage a lot ...

If you are referring to the helper file - vakata.js and you want to use it outside of jstree - that is another thing ... I will think of adding the option :)

I am developing a web application. The main menu of the application is based on jsTree. If we use the localStorage to store information across sessions, this might be a problem for security when different peoples are using the same computer. The application can be use by supervisors and regular employees in a warehouse. If we use localStorage, we might end-up showing data that shouldn't.

This is why I think the developers should decide which storage to use.
