I get a 404 after logging in on localhost about bakery-app-starter-flow-spring HOT 8 CLOSED

It doesn't help to clear the cache. You need to unregister service-worker.js from dev tools.

Just one comment, the service-worker might have been registered by other app running previously on localhost

The service-worker was registered by another application, as this was the first time I ran Bakery on this computer (on which I've developed other Polymer based applications)

Ok then as I understood it, any app to localhost:8080 could've failed with the same message. I'm closing this as wontfix as I don't see how could we prevent this situation.

Do we have control over the error message? If yes, can at least that then be improved to indicate the user what the problem might be (e.g. if we know the address is localhost and we get this problem, can we tell the user to unregister the service worker)?

Can this be solved using a custom SavedRequestAwareAuthenticationSuccessHandler for Spring Security so that it would only redirect to existing views after login? If the URL is something else like service-worker.js, then redirect to storefront
