IPv6 support about urllib3 HOT 5 CLOSED

Is ipv6 in urllib3 currently broken?
What's the error?
What would this require?
Do any other libraries support it?

My bad, for not explaining a little bit more :

urllib3 and, therefore, requests both have support for IPv6 using domain name but not using ip as a query :

http = urllib3.PoolManager()

r = http.request('GET', 'http://ipv6.google.com/') # <- this works fine

r = http.request('GET', 'http://[2a00:1450:4001:c01::67]')
InvalidURL: (LocationParseError(...), 'Failed to parse: Failed to parse: [2a00')

The problem is inside the function get_host inside util.py.
I am trying to fix this at the moment.
