For downloads this would be something like:

with open(filename, 'wb') as f:
    r = manager.urlopen('GET', url, preload_content=False)
    filesize = r.getheaders()['content-length']
    blocksize = int(math.ceil(filesize/100.))
    for progress in xrange(100):

This is simple to do.

Look at the content-length of the response and download 1/100th of that at a time.

@gcastagneti This "recipe" is obviously not very well documented for neither Requests or urllib3. Perhaps you'd like to write a blog post tutorial or doc for how to do this so we can refer others to it?
