@ixv and I met about this yesterday and have a shared understanding of how archival generally fits into the new way that groups and channels are associated with one another. We outlined some general obvious edge cases, but I think he'll be assessing further edge cases around how we treat channels in the event of group deletion, or how channel/group "forking" might work, etc.

I've only barely scratched the surface of how to actually surface up archival options in the latest designs, but as our settings areas round out for module channels and a group, this feature will gain further definition.

Possibly solved for us as part of graph-store migration because archived is a built-in param. Thus archival content is a matter of breach notifications, import/export, design.

"A button in settings of a channel to archive; the channel would have some differentiation in the sidebar; and there would be disabled comments, disabled submission." — @urcades

Closing due to graph-store migration enfolding this work — as part of Links migration #45.
