garlandtools's Issues

Wrong map data for Goldenfin & Octomammoth

In fish.js(for Garland Bell), Both Goldenfin and Octomammoth point '../files/maps/La Noscea/Limsa Lominsa.png' for their map images.
But there are only 'Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks.png' & 'Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks.png' but not 'Limsa Lominsa.png'.
I think this is because the two fishes' data are obsoleted.
It should be fixed.

Rarefied spawn timers/missing nodes

image

I noticed this TSV data just changed:

...
Rarefied Abalathian Spring Water 308	10, 22	120	20.6, 11.5	Unspoiled
Rarefied Aurum Regis Sand 308	10, 22	120	20.6, 11.5	Unspoiled

They say 10, 22, but I would expect 2, 14. I'd be happy to submit a PR for the nodes I have in my gathering log, but I don't know if these files are generated or what.

There are also some rarefied items that are missing like these ones:

I'm only in HW so not really impacted by most of those :)

Unsafe characters in group links

Currently group links use URL unsafe characters, which can cause problems when sharing. For example:

http://www.garlandtools.org/db/#group/Gathering%20Main%20Hands{item/22892|item/22893|item/22894}

The { } | characters should be encoded or replaced with safe alternatives.

Alarms for Fish

Given that Eorzea weather and time is determinative (such that there exist several libraries for calculating it), it stands to reason that Garland Tools could be providing availability windows and alarms for certain fish the way that it does for unspoiled and ephemeral gathering nodes.

To illustrate, here is the item for Hannibal, a fish with a very specific availability pattern:

And here is my very amateur mockup for how this item could look:

This would make it much easier for users to plan their time pursuing particularly tricky fish.

I feel pretty certain this idea must have come up before, which makes me wonder if the reason the feature doesn't exist is due to a technical limitation (as there are far fewer timed gathering nodes than there are fish) or simply because development time has been spent elsewhere. If the issue is the latter, I'd be happy to make a pull request and take a hack at it, but if the issue is the former it's at least good to have that clarified in an Issue for posterity.
