It works perfectly outside the plugin. I tried it with firefox and chrome in all combinations within moodle and I always get this problem.

I have a problem like this and it only occurs within the moodle module, the video does not play in the other sessions, only in that of the moderator who shares the YouTube video, but in a browser independent of the jitsi server, the playback of the video is perfect, thanks for your support.
In the conference window there is no error or warning message, however when I stop sharing the YouTube video in the other sessions, the small window with the image of the video remains and does not end.

Es correcto, estoy usando la versión 3.8 de moodle, inicialmente estuve usando el theme "trema", sin embargo, realizando la prueba con el theme "Boost", tengo el mismo inconveniente, la pantalla inicial del video se comparte pero queda congelada y no reproduce.

Te comparto una imagen de ejemplo de como queda el video compartido en usuarios a los que comparto.

Sin embargo fuera de moodle si realizo este proceso de compartir video desde youtube, si se completa correctamente y sin problemas.
