After cloning the whole project (ud851-Exercises), open in AndroidStudio only 1 subolder (for example, open as a project: T01.01... folder ). That's because each subfolder inside of this project is an AndroidStudio project! :)

by the way,you had a mistake on spelling "subolder", it should be subfoler
