Above 60 fps bugs Stormhawk barrel throw about eldenringfpsunlockandmore HOT 13 OPEN

Anything 72 FPS or above at 100% game speed causes the barrel issue.
71 and down to 60 and the bird throw the barrels like normal.

I just went through this section and had no bug.
Barrels exploded as intended.

• ER FPS Unlock v1.0.0.1, with only frame rate lock ticked and set at 144.
• Nvidia gtx 1060 6gb with a slight overclock, driver version 511.79, preferred refresh rate to highest available and vsync Off.
• Game is "onsl" 1.02.3, set to high, 36>52 fps depending on the scenery.
• Windows 11.
• No Huds, no mods, no FPS counters; no Geforce Experience or anything that could be interfering.
• Simple144 Hz monitor without gsync.

Edit: I tried changing fov early game and clipped through the floor. It didn't happened since I disabled this option. Maybe related ? It was pre 0.0.0.5.

You're not even hitting 60fps, of course it won't trigger the bug.

Hmm that could be a bug but I don't have a save file that is that far yet. I've spent about 20 minutes ingame since release...
Could you try lowering game speed with the latest 0.0.0.4 release and record it?

So this also happens at 60fps with lower game speed? That would indicate a game/engine bug rather than an issue with the unlock itself.

I can confirm this is a bug with the fps unlock, I can toggle it off and on, on the barrel disappears, off the barrel is thrown and explodes just fine. Game speed doesn't seem to help with unlocked fps.

Here's my save, load it up, walk outside and you'll see the 2 birds.

I can confirm this is a bug with the fps unlock, I can toggle it off and on, on the barrel disappears, off the barrel is thrown and explodes just fine. Game speed doesn't seem to help with unlocked fps.

Game speed stopped the issue at 80% game speed for myself, shown in the comparison videos below.

75 are already much smoother than 60 fps. And there aren`t many fps at outdoor-areals.

This sounds like a timing issue of the engine as the barrel is thrown normally even at 165fps on 75% speed. Probably not much we can do other than hoping FromSoft will fix their engine, although I haven't looked into it yet.

This is literally the only known relevant bug that happens when the frame rate is unlocked.
It was definately worth of From Software to lock the entire game at 60fps for everybody, instead of just fixing this 👍, which would have probably taken 10 minutes.
