...today I had the same problem..hmm - looking at the bed_mesh.py of Klipper I added this block to the if blocks at around line 90 of the script:
{% if probe_count_x<=3 and probe_count_y>6 %}
{% set probe_count_y = 6 %}
{% endif %}
{% if probe_count_y<=3 and probe_count_x>6 %}
{% set probe_count_x = 6 %}
{% endif %}```
