I appreciate having this question asked here. Can you please provide insight into how you use the Alicloud plugin and the need to authenticate using the assumed role? This will help to prioritise.

I am still determining why the assumed role is unsupported; it may be due to its usage demand, but I will look into it.

Hi,
Same issue here, working on AWS/GCP/Alicloud csp with Steampipe, but Alicloud is the only one requiring creation of local RAM user on each account and maintain a "static credential" configuration file for steampipe to be able to query all our Alicloud accounts.
It can be PITA for a lot of account, and big security risk if no AK/SK rotation is enabled (which can add non-negligible configuration task to maintain AK/SK and steampipe configuration).
