I like the idea of adding prefixes to the labels and a simple labeling system.
I would also prefer that each issue has exactly 3 labels (except maybe a "good first issue" tag), so it always has a Status, Priority, and Area.

One thing I'm wondering about is having things as labels vs columns (in Project mode).
For instance, if I make "Priority: High" a Label, it shows in the Issues view, but then it's in the same Label column as "Area: documentation" in the Project view... which is less useful.
But if I make "Priority" a new column in Project view -- with a selection of High, Med, Low -- then I don't see it in the Issues list view, which only shows Labels.

I've set up what I think will work.
There's a Project that uses Priorities and Statuses.
For Labels, there are two categories:
Type: Bug, Addition, Improvement (anything else?)
Zone: Several options as to where/what is being changed, these will probably evolve as we work
