Just like to report the following issues have now been fully resolved on latest version of Magisk released today:
Magisk v9 - "MagiskHide: Error occurred..."
Magisk v10 - "MagiskHide: Cannot read from logcat, abort..."
Magisk v10 - "MagiskHide: Cannot monitor am_proc_start, abort..."
Many thanks for a quick resolution!

I still have problem with am_proc_start in 170101 on galaxy s7

I think you need to install the latest version of Magisk manager from play store, including superuser topjohnwu r1, see screenshot:

Samsung kernel seems to hide namespace of processes.
Not sure if it is something to do with Knox.
However, this is already listed in the known issues in Magisk main thread.
