Thanks for your contribution! I'm sorry but I'm not using coffe so it would be difficult for me to maintain two branches, vanillajs and coffescript. But I appreciate your effort, I will link your coffee code of the actual version .

I am learning coffee script right now, so if @tombatossals think it's necessary, I can help maintain it ;p

Maintaining a parallel CoffeeScript version would be too much work; to keep feature parity @tombatossals would have to move to maintaining the whole thing in coffeescript. Then there wouldn't be a commented, readable version in JS.

And in any case, the rest of my project team chickened out from doing it in Angular anyway, so I won't be using that code. Oh well :,(

um, that's sad. out of curiosity, what's the reason for not using angular?

I'm kind of a hired gun in the situation, and I'm working remotely. The guy who will be maintaining the project after I've made the front end is distrustful of JS frameworks generally, and without being there on site (and being the new guy in any case) I couldn't convince the team that using a framework is more-or-less best practice now.

So I'm still expecting to use Angular in my future projects, apart from this one. I just can't in good conscience force the maintainer to learn a whole new system to maintain this one thing.

See you again on my next leaflet project :)
