Not really any more info - just something I noticed somewhere in the decompiled android app javascript. I'd recommend doing a fresh apk download, unpack it, then go through lib.js looking for clues.

Alright, thanks for the reply. I decided to dig in. It seems like they've been restructuring their APK a bit. The latest version has ~50 different js files, named 1.js to 47.js, and seems to be using webpack, which is trickier to read even unminified. Went back through the history, around January (2.0.16) their APK size shot up from 9mb to 30mb, but I think that was mostly assets. It's not until 2.0.21 where the format change happened. I'll try digging into 2.0.20, which is almost a year old, but hopefully if a websocket protocol does exist, it should still work.
Will report back if I find anything interesting :)
