I will see if I can reproduce. Do you happen to know a version in which it was stable? Did you try 2.1.4?

Git 2.2.1 git-gui 0.19.0.2 running on current Yosemite (latest source forge git download named git-2.2.1-intel-universal-snow-leopard.dmg)

Clicking on a file or many other actions cause this exception:

Wish(54030,0x1094c4000) malloc: *** auto malloc[54030]: error: GC operation on unregistered thread. Thread registered implicitly. Break on auto_zone_thread_registration_error() to debug.

Visualize {branch} history gets stuck and never displays anything.

git-gui is unstable.

Reproduced, thank you for the report! Works find on Snow Leopard, breaks on Yosemite. Looks like I will need to start doing a separate build for newer OSes.

Do you by chance have access to a machine running the previous operating system, 10.9?

Published a Mavericks package; can you please try and report if you have success? git-2.2.1-universal-x86_64-mavericks.dmg

If this fixes your issue, can you please leave a review? Trying to recover from a period in which proper issue reporting channels were not established, so the only people leaving issues were the people having problems.

Thank you for confirming!

I am currently working on a git-svn assets package since yosemite stopped shipping the necessary perl modules. If you run into issues with git-svn, that is why.

How/where does a review get posted (other than a reply in the issue comments)?=
