Question a propos de fastread about readr HOT 4 CLOSED

please use english here. this is more likely to be understood and therefore replied to by people following.

fastread is quite young. We don't necessarily aim at competition against data.table::fread. I've seen cases where we do better, and other where we don't.

We do want good performance, but most importantly we want nice, good, enjoyable, predictable syntax.

sure, but data.table::fread already mimics the base::read.csv syntax, which is likely to be what people will know. Is fastread aim at reading more than csv files ?

fastread will eventually encompass read.csv(), read.table(), read.delim() and read.fwf().
