Trying to make a Facebook graph API request with just an argument of 'me' is a valid request (it should respond with your basic account info). But I couldn't get this to work with facebook-node-sdk.

uhmm, maybe you forgot /v2.0/ like this:
FB.api('/v2.0/me', function(response) {
console.log(response);
});

I already did solution from my side, but i am thinking that there was some default configuration like versioning in sdk. also we need to change login url in your fb.js.

The new version contains a version option like the JS SDK.
