Stubbing proxy fails on non-ActiveRecord classes about factory_bot HOT 3 CLOSED

One of factory_girls' basic requirements is that initialize works without arguments. I know that doesn't work for a lot of non-ActiveRecord classes, but I don't want to change this for one build strategy unless I decide to change the general API requirements for factory_girl.

Factory girl's initialize works without arguments. Its usefulness would be massively expanded for many of us, if it -also- worked -with- arguments.

Can't we have our cake and eat it, with initialize working with or without arguments?

I'm open to accepting arguments to the initializer through some special syntax. I don't want to call allocate instead of initialize to avoid the initializer, though.
