No keyboard input possible about steam-login HOT 5 CLOSED

Do you have xfwm installed? It's important to have a window manager running so you can get correct focus. You can replace xfwm with any other window managers of your choice, just edit the steam-de script and replace it.

Ah okay, that will be the solution, thanks. I didn't even know it starts without it. Well, I won't be able to use my Xbox controller because xpad isn't working and xboxdrv needs root access. Thanks for help anyways!

I am using the XBox controller just fine, what I do is login into the normal shell and start the xboxdrv from terminal with sudo, and then just switch accounts to the steam-login, is very cool to switch from my work related profile to a clean gaming login.

That would work, but I want it to work out-of-the-box. I wanted to change the access rights for uinput but it didn't work.
