Recognizing audio input

When I try to run the code it does not crash, but it doesn't seem to recognize any audio input from either one of my test devices (Linux Mint and Fedora). I simply get a nice greeting from EVE and then try as I might... nothing more.
Issue starting recording
Users on Linux Mint and Fedora 16 have encountered an error related to the pyaudio module in tts/google.py. The log of can be found here:

Use a newer version of Requests in the README.
A quick code read suggests you do a GET and a POST with Requests, both of which have unchanged APIs in v1.x.x. Is there any reason not to use a newer version?

Nothing happens after successful recording
Hey guys,
I spent some time installing E.V.E. but I can't figure out how to fix the following problem:
E.V.E. recognizes my "Okay Computer" command and activates with "start recording".
But when I try several commands, nothing happens after "recording done".
There are no Wolfram API calls visible inside the dev center so it seems to be a problem between recording and the API call.
Any suggestions?
EVE crash on given command
Ubuntu 13.04
I followed the install process and chose the python 2 version of pyAudio.

It fires up, she talks. I say, "Okay computer" and she responds. Then, when I give any command I see the error.
