The same thing just happened to me in Chrome.
Thanks to @amit-naudiyal I was able to resolve it.
Recently, I installed the chrome extension called "Markdown Viewer". It was set to work on all pages. I changed the setting so that it only works when I click the extension and GitHub renders fine, now.

I had the same problem with e.g. https://github.com/Dash-Industry-Forum/dash.js/blob/development/README.md
I also had the Markdown viewer installed, and changing the setting as described by @bobrecio fixed it. Thanks!

I don't have this problem on my mac, running chrome. I believe the particular div you are referring to with the display:none on it is the search-results div which is hidden when the browser size is smaller than desktop width.
Not sure why you're having the problem you're having. Same issue when the browser is maximized to desktop width?

Just noticed that I don't have this problem when I open the page in "Incognito window".

I can't reproduce either. Running chrome on mac

Yes, I have the same issue when the browser is maximized. Changing the "display:none" in fact showed the content as expected. Also please note that I'm not experience this issue on every page.
Some pages rendered correctly:

Some of the pages that didn't display the content:

Very strange. I’m unable to reproduce as well with any configuration of login/logout adblocker on/off and incognito/regular browser. Noted but not sure what can be done without being able to reproduce. I don’t even have any good wild speculation — perhaps there’s an unclosed div and/or jQuery run amok?

Reinstalled Chrome, still issue not resolved.

Have considered what chrome extensions you have installed. I have issue with customers using adblock and some content doesn't get displayed in another app because of it.

This seems like it was a bit of a one off issue due to no one else reporting it, due to this I think this issue should be closed.

I am also getting this issue and as reported earlier by @vimalkurup, it works in incognito window.
However, when I disabled my 'markdown viewer' addon, it started working back.
Just adding this helping others.
