For term & disease pages: Consider a higher level introduction to ease into annotation detail. about hpo-web HOT 1 CLOSED

I love the overall layout and colors etc.
I would however plead for different functionalities in the widgets. I think it would be good to have a link that would be something like this

• you are on the page for Atrial septal defect
• search for diseases featuring ASP using Phenomizer/method du jour (link to respective pages)
• I think that we need to work on developing an webportal for exploring diseases that will be based on the differential diagnostics algorithms, but this should be on a separate page
• The term pages need more information about the term -- images, links to the most relevant PuibMed articles (e.g., those that are referenced in our definitions), and then the links to diseases/genes as we now have.
• The Gene Widget should be on the gene page, I think. Especially as HPO will be used for common diseases, there is much less of a direct link to genes, and I do not think we want to emphasize this aspect to heavily.
• the GO widget and the "other HPO term" widget provide something new, although it is possibly just eye candy
