So I've actually seen this concept called cataloging come up. People can drop houseware items in a little area somewhere on their island. Not place them, but just drop them so they looks like a leaf. Anyway, someone else can visit the island and just pick up each thing, then set it back down. That way that person now has access to all those things in their nook shopping back home.

It would be cool if each user could do something like:

!addcatalog unicorn bits, a foot
> Turbot: I've added those items added to your catalog.

!describecatalog Catalog area set up in the south east, ping me if you want me to open my island.
> Turbot: I've saved your catalog description.

!listcatalog lexicalunit
> Turbot: User lexicalunit has unicorn bits and a foot available for catalog.
> Turbot: "Catalog area set up in the south east, ping me if you want me to open my island."

!searchcatalog corn
> Turbot: I found "unicorn bits" in lexicalunit's catalog, is that what you are looking for?

!removecatalog a foot
> Turbot: I've removed that item from your catalog.

from turbot.
