Hey @WhiteNoise - I did investigate doing this recently, but there's some stuff in there that's iOS 6-and-up only, and I'm not quite ready to drop iOS 5 support in the library. Although that's only a small percentage of users these days, I feel a responsibility to them given that TAAE is a reasonably widely-used library. It probably wouldn't take a great deal to change my mind on that, but for now it seems the safest option.
I've no knowledge about when AudioSession is likely to be dropped, no...I'd like to know that too!

What if I want to handle the audio session myself in the app, can I do that and tell TAAE to avoid doing it?
